Kate Coventry
Kate joined LRM in August 2017. After working for us on a part-time basis whilst she completed her Masters degree in Spatial Planning and Development at Cardiff University, she joined us on a full-time basis in September 2018.
Kate’s work to date has included land promotion, planning policy, appraisal work, the preparation, submission and management of planning applications across a range of developments, assisting with planning appeals, and the preparation of Environmental Statements. Kate is experienced in managing development teams from the early stages land promotion through to discharge of conditions.
Kate works across both England and Wales, with experience across the South East, South and South West of England and South Wales. Her work is primarily in residential led schemes, however, her more recent projects include the creation of a Countryside Park and associated attractions for the National Trust in the South of England.
In December 2020 Kate was elected as a Chartered Member of the Royal Institute of Town Planning. Kate was named Wales Young Planner of the Year for 2022, is currently on the RTPI Executive Committee and is the National Representative for Young Planners Cymru. The RTPI President awarded Kate a Special Award for 2021 to recognise her time as Chair of Young Planners Cymru. In March 2022 she was named a Woman of Influence in the Planning Industry.
