LRM Planning have submitted a full planning application, on behalf of the National Trust, for an outdoor learning facility at Saltram Estate, Plymouth.
Saltram Estate is one of the UK’s most popular National Trust parks and is undergoing a site wide masterplanning process. The first element of this masterplanning is the submission of an outdoor learning facility within the orchards of the estate.
This facility, alongside an accessible compost loo, will provide the opportunity for educational events throughout the year within the established orchards.
The buildings include renewable energy and green roofs to provide a sustainable, energy efficient and off grid building in the heart of the estate.
The scheme will draw visitors to the new publicly accessible areas of the estate and provide outdoor learning opportunities for all age ranges.
LRM look forward to continue bringing forward other elements of the improvements to Saltram Estate.
