On the 5th May LRM completed a 13-hour relay run to raise money for the NHS. The team took on the challenge to each run for 78 minutes, beginning at 6am and ending at 7pm, to reflect the length of shift many NHS workers are currently working due to Covid-19.
All 10 team members, from the Cardiff and Exeter offices, took to the streets and ran from their own homes for 78 minutes and then virtually handed over to the next team member, socially distancing throughout.
The day was a great success, raising over £3,070 for the NHS at the time of writing. The team ran a total of 74 miles, the distance from Cardiff to Swindon! As well as running for such a good cause, the day was testament to our team ethic and our desire to stay connected during these testing times, when we’re not able to see each other on a daily basis in the office.
We would like to say a massive thank you for all the donations received to date and for the support on the day. Our Instagram and Twitter feeds contain a record of images from the day, including the virtual handovers, and the before and after pictures, where our exertion is clearly visible!
Thank you to all the NHS staff and key workers that are working tirelessly during these difficult times, and always. If you would like to sponsor us please click here.
