On the 29th June 2022 outline planning permission was granted for 125 homes in Tonbridge, Kent.
LRM Planning acted on behalf of Hallam Land Management Ltd throughout the preparation and determination of this outline planning application.
The land is identified as Safeguarded Land in Policy CP4 of the adopted Core Strategy to be released for housing and associated infrastructure where there is identified additional need. There is an acknowledged shortfall in housing in the Borough which triggered the release of this Safeguarded Land.
The scheme delivers substantial open space and green infrastructure, defining the edge of Tonbridge, alongside natural play areas, connecting routes to local sports fields, village greens and buffers to existing green infrastructure.
The application was recommended for approval by the case officer and subsequently received resolution to grant subject to the S106 Agreement at February 2022 Planning Committee.
The housing will contribute to meeting the needs of the Borough for both market and affordable housing. The decision notice can be viewed here.
