Elms Park is a mixed use urban extension at North West Cheltenham, which has been identified in successive assessments of how Cheltenham’s long term growth can be sustainably accommodated.
The Gloucester Cheltenham Tewkesbury Joint Core Strategy, adopted in December 2017 allocates this strategic site for development and removes the land from the Green Belt. A further tract of land has also been removed from the Green Belt and safeguarded for longer term development.
An outline planning application was submitted for 4,000 new homes and 10ha Business Park, new primary and secondary schools, local centres, transport hub and 100 ha of green infrastructure in October 2016. LRM provide planning advice to the applicants, Bloor Homes and Persimmon Homes.
