Please find below our latest update regarding local authority protocol for processing planning applications as a result of Covid-19.
This briefing note covering South Wales and the South West of England includes the most recent changes since our last note was issued on the 24th April. New regulations were put in place in Wales on 23rd April 2020 which make temporary provision for local authority meetings to be conducted on the basis of full or partial remote attendance. We are aware a number of council’s in Wales are exploring options to hold virtual committees in the coming months, so please check back for the most recent updates on a weekly basis. In addition, Welsh Government issued a planning update to Local Authorities on 29th April which appears to have had a positive affect in terms of resuming planning services. Cardiff Council in particular are again open for business.
