LRM Planning have secured full planning permission for an outdoor learning facility at Saltram Estate on behalf of the National Trust.
Following the submission of the planning application in March, Plymouth City Council granted planning permission on the 27th April 2022 for the first stage of the Future Saltram Masterplan as set out in the adopted Joint Local Plan.
This scheme will create an educational facility within the existing orchard at one of the most popular National Trust parks in the UK. The building is a fully accessible development, providing opportunities to hold events and classes through outdoor education.
The proposals include renewable energy provision, biodiversity net gain and green roofs to provide a unique scheme which will lead the way to Saltram Estate becoming more sustainable and energy efficient.
The combined design contributions of Urban Wilderness and Evans Vettori enabled this scheme to set a new benchmark for educational facilities around Plymouth.
LRM are looking forward to continuing to work on the Future Saltram Masterplan.
